Ciudad Quesada is a modern town
which has evolved during the past twenty-five years to reflect the
widely diversified needs of it’s population. There are more than 28
nationalities represented in Ciudad Quesada. Their different
cultures and tastes, a good infrastructure, plenty of amenities,
sporting facilities, numerous restaurants offering different kinds of
food from all over the world has created an ideal place to live. Ciudad
Quesada does not have beautiful historic buildings and other places of
historic interest. They can be found in the nearby cities and towns such
as Villajoyosa, Cartagena or Alicante. Ciudad Quesada owes its good
reputation to the pleasant atmosphere of people living or holidaymaking,
enjoying the Mediterranean lifestyle and the sunshine. It is the
perfect spot for a nice relaxing family holiday.
Accommodation
There are several tastefully designed holiday complexes, with
apartments, townhouses and bungalows, with communal pools and gardens,
as well as beautiful detached villas with private pools. Just
imagine this, you wake up in the morning, the sky is blue and the sun is
shining. You have a swim in the pool before you get some fresh
rolls in the supermarket or the baker’s. Then you have breakfast with
your family on your balcony, overlooking the pool and the garden. Or in
the evening after a lazy day on the beaches of Guardamar, or an active
day in the Theme park Terra Mitica, or a tour in one of the beautiful
towns in the area , you light the barbecue and have a nice dinner in
your garden with a glass of good wine. That is what Ciudad Quesada is
all about!
Gastronomy
The average occupancy of Ciudad Quesada is approximately 60 %. This has
allowed gastronomy to develop to high standard. Some other areas have
evolved with the empathise solely on tourism with repetitive menus and
prices which mimic the prices in the home countries of their customers.
Ciudad Quesada has cosy enjoyable restaurants with original Mediterranean cooking and the typical Spanish tapas, as well as modern
restaurants offering an international selection of cooking including
Hungarian, Italian, English, French or Asian, such as Chinese,
Japanese, Hindu and Thai………
Sports
Ciudad Quesada has facilities for many different sports, such as golf,
bowling, horse-riding, One of the most popular participant sports
on the Costa Blanca and many other parts of Spain is flat green bowling.
The roots of the game go back hundreds of years to the days of Francis
Drake. Cuidad Quesada is well represented in the bowling community with
a well designed green. The Quesada club has in excess of 120 playing
members who actively and successfully play in the leagues and other
competitions which are organised by the 10 clubs and the CBBA
(Costa Blanca Bowling Association ) in the Costa Blanca area. In fact
one of the Quesada teams the “Quesada Hawks” has won the CBBA Southern
League title for the last three years in succession.
The club has facilities and
competitions to suit everybody from beginners just starting out to
experienced bowlers. It is a super way of spending a few hours in the
sunshine in a friendly and
highly social environment.
